Margin of Victory has not been used in the BCS computer formulas for some time now, and it's a shame, but I can understand why they did that. It does still affect the human voters, though. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Gatornet Admin Sent: Saturday, November 22, 2008 5:13 PM To: GatorTalk Subject: [gatortalk] Style Points Importance: Low
Does anyone know whether the TOTAL points scored counts toward style points or is it the DIFFERENCE (70-19=51 points) that counts? If it's the total, then there's no problem, but if it's the difference, we might've been hurt by playing our backups. We could've left our first-string defense on the field and probably shut 'em out.
