I don't know that Paul Finebaum panders. He was very aggressive in his
criticism of Alabama back in the Mike Dubose days, and he has written some
pieces on Tennessee over the years that make me wonder if he is welcome back
on campus.

Now that you mention it, that's probably where Finebaum's comments came
from. He's the one who interviewed Spurrier wasn't he? Of course, Spurrier
is an expert on Urban Myer.

I hope you are right Oliver. It is just the unwelcome comments that Steve
Spurrier made a few weeks ago on Meyer and Notre Dame, and now this, make me
wonder if something is going on that we don't know about. And I wonder if
Finebaum's column is at all related to Spurrier's comments.

It is hard to believe that Meyer would leave, especially since Machen hired
him at Utah and is obviously his champion. But sometimes coaches do strange
things.

Anyway, I guess I'll have to root for Charlie Weis and Notre Dame to win
some games this year. Yuck.

Go Gators!!!!

Well, he's pandering in this article. He has no idea what Urban Myer is
about. Notre Dame offered him at the same time UF did if you recall. He
didn't go there then. There are so many things here that are just bull, as
I'm sure you can see from reading it.

You're correct, Finebaum has always been a pretty good journalist. That's
why it's so surprising to read this crap.

No, worse. He's pandering to Alabama fans.
