Paula and I have camped at Fall Creek Falls twice. The most recent time was between the 2007 LSU game and the Kentucky game.

I'm going to Fall Creek Falls Sept 1 for a meeting. I plan to run about 25 while there, over 2 days, of course. :-) Oliver Barry CRS,GRI Real Estate Broker Bob Parks Realty 1517 Hunt Club Blvd Gallatin TN 37066 Phone: 615-826-4040 Fax: 615-822-2027 Mobile: 615-972-4239 _____ From: Gatortalk@googlegroups.com [mailto:gatort...@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of A. Why do I always start looking for my tournament darts when I first see this every summer? Does anyone else think it would make a great dart game? Sorry I disappeared from posting without a word for about 3 weeks, but Paula and I were up in the NC/Tennessee mountains with the Gator motorhome.saw a lot of bears and Vols. Only the bears were scary, though. The Vols all bowed and scrapped appropriately. Randy missed my posting so much he thought I had tried to die again and gave a call yesterday, which was VERY thoughtful of him. Naturally, I said, "Not yet, Randy!" He and I are both the sensitive types. Any guy with a photo of Dr. Phil on his Facebook page HAS to be sensitive, you know. Anyway, Paula and I had a great time and I'm much stronger as a result of all the up and down hiking. This will interest Oliver: we hiked over 24 miles of mountain trails while we were up there. The last one, last Thursday, was an 8-miler with an altitude gain of over 2,000 feet to watch water pour over Ramsey Cascades in the Greenbrier section of the Smokys. AWESOME, baby! Anyway, we camped at Julian Price Memorial Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway at 3,400 feet near Blowing Rock, NC the first week; then, Elkmont at about 2,000 feet in the Smokys near Gatlinburg. We ran into a lot of Gators in both places. Of course, Elkmont was overflowing with adoring Vols. I, of course, had out all my Gator flags, windsocks, lawn ornaments, chairs, hats, shirts and my Gator cell phone ring tone. One Vol even said, "That was a neat ring tone. It sounds familiar; what is it?" I was happy to tell him that it was the UF Alma Mater and asked if he would like to hear it again. It was Paula and my 25th anniversary trip. It was a memorable one. On our anniversary we hiked to Abrahms Falls in Cades Cove. About a mile into the trail we encountered a large male bear who entered the trail and began to walk toward us about 40 yards ahead. I blew my whistle and he headed down into Abrahms Creek and disappeared like a good bear into the woods. How did that song go? 'Don't go into the woods today, you'd be in for a big surprise.' Just before reaching the falls I fell off the trail and held onto a small rhododendron bush until Paula could pull me up and save my life. This has become one of her new roles, lately. Anyway, we had lunch at the falls and then drove into Gatlinburg for a dinner of steak and mountain trout at the Black Bear Grill overlooking a stream. We both signed up for 25 more. It's good to be back. If I didn't have about 200 emails to go through I hunt the darts. A.
