Most of the linebackers and the DBs are studs now.  How they figure out who starts and who does not - they are all so good - is beyond me.

2. Jon Bostic: This early enrollee learned from one of the best in the spring — senior middle linebacker Brandon Spikes. Bostic soaked up all the knowledge and had a very impressive spring. Physically and mentally, he's good to go. He figures to see some important time playing behind Spikes. He also could be a major player on special teams, where so many future starters have earned their way under Meyer.

Other than Beal's injury, is there any reason why Bostic is considered ahead of Beal at this position?

Beal was just as much of a stud coming out of high school (Parade or some type of All-American, IIRC) and sure was a star at the Orange & Blue Game.
