Yikes! Jerry, I'm sorry to hear about your accident but glad they were able to
put you back together. Be care with them power tools!

Sorry for the typos. I have had my left hand in a cast since July 4 and I
have to type with one hand. (I cut two of my fingers with my table saw—5 ½
hours of surgery later they were reattached and working again…but it will still
be a while before I can type normally again.)

Let's give credit. Doc spelled 'crab' perfectly.

That was it! They had a great buffet—crab, shtimp, frog legs, etc.

West Coast Seafood? It was really good, but the restaurant isn't there any
more. They do still have a seafood and meat market there, though, I think. My
ex-mother in law lived down that cross street (NE 5th Ave).

I used to be fond of the Primrose Inn and a seafood place on Waldo Road
toward University…and I can’t forget the BBQ goat at Pres and Ed’s.

I always figured The Park was why God made antibiotics.

Speaking of Gvile area restaurants, The Yearling always had special meaning
for us. It's where our (my husband and I) parents met for the first time, and
we've celebrated many special occasions there over the years. We didn't make it
by last year but hoping for an opportunity this season.

You can’t beat those Leonardo’s garlic rolls….The Park had decent beer
specials, but you wouldn’t catch me near one of those hot tubs.

FYI, the Original Pizza Palace is back open and as yummy and eclectic as
ever. I always loved the big croutons they put in their cesear salads. I've
eaten there twice when I've been in town in the last year.

I remember The Original Pizza Palace, The Hog's Breath Saloon and Dubs,
but not Bluewater Bay.

Maybe it was closed during my sojourn, you know, the Don Devoe and Gary
Darnell era; clearly the apex of UF sports history.

but the website says "re-established 2003" so they may have closed for a while.
