It was indeed nice to get to spend a few minutes with Paula and Leon yesterday!

As far as having an "off-year" GatorTalk get together (the next "official"
picnic is scheduled to be held next year) the Alumni Association tailgate is a
nice and easy option - it's air conditioned, food and drink are available, and
there are big screens airing other games/ESPN Gameday in conference rooms, but
unless you're a "card carrying" UAA member there is an admission fee.

If I knew who was coming and for how long (I'm sure that many on here have
their own tailgating traditions) I'd be willing to bring a grill and cook
burgers, brats, dogs, etc. at some TBD on campus tailgate spot as a prt of our
normal game day. The only game that I don't have tickets for is Saturday's UT
game (at least as of right now) so if any of you decide to meet up for that one
I'll have to be there in spirit only.

If we want to emulate last year's picnic with a post-game cookout the FIU game
could provide an opportunity to do so - it's a likely candidate for a noon
kickoff, it should be a little cooler/less mosquito friendly, and ticket
availability probably won't be a big issue.

Absent any of that, I'll be glad to provide my cell # by request in private
email, and if you happen to find yourself on campus with time to kill, any of
you can call me and I'll let you know where we're at and what we're doing in
case you'd like to stop by and say "hi".

Paula and I enjoyed running into Steve McKibben at the Alumni Association
Pre-Game Gathering.  Steve made a good suggestion: GatorTalkers could agree on
a meeting spot and time prior to one of the up-coming home games.

Anyone interested?  Paula and I attend all of the games, so make suggestions if
interested.

I enjoyed the game tremendously from Helen's seats (Thanks Helen!).

I'm glad I brought a change of clothes and a towel with me. I didn't have a
pancho, not even a Sear's one!

Yes, thank God for the poncho.  It wasn't heavy, but it was steady and long.

I have to say I was very thankful for my $5 Walmart poncho!  ;-)
