Thompson didn't do a good job of choosing the words to convey his message - he tried to say that strictly from a WR's point of view, a QB like Brantley is easier to play with, because he's more predictable. It came out that Brantley (as opposed to Tebow) is a "real QB".
I'm pretty sure the reporter knew that Thompson wasn't taking a swipe at Tebow since he also said (conveniently left out of his article) that Tim is "a legend". If he was unsure of the intent, he could have (gasp!) asked a follow up question to clarify. i think it was a bit disingenuous for him to run with the quote "as is" , which was clearly a ploy to stir things up to get readers/web hits. And he paid the price for that by being called out by Meyer. And it made its way into a news article? This was somehow news to UM3? Please, someone tell Urban that the sun rises in the east. I'd hate for him to be caught by surprise. -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us To unsubscribe from this group, send email to gatortalk+unsubscribegooglegroups.com or reply to this email with the words "REMOVE ME" as the subject.
