I wonder if that's predicated on Texas (and a few others) going to the Big 10?

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I really don't like this game of musical 
chairs.  I like the regional nature of college football.  Each region has its 
own style and flavor (like barbecue).  If these conferences get too spread out, 
it becomes homogenized.  

Damn.  Are they trying to turn the sport into nothing other than a minor league 
for the NFL, and destroy its inherent appeal?
