We are in a game delay until 8:15pm due to field conditions at McKethan Stadium. We had a few heavy showers, no lightening but lots of water, from 6:00pm until 7:00pm. The infield was covered, but the drain at 3rd got clogged and water had no way out. The swamp has come to Gator baseball. The area around 3rd is now being raised by raking in dozen's of bags of infield clay and drying agents. There are currently 23 workers at 3rd and 3 others at other parts of the infield. We need a good civil engineer here. :) The rains cooled of the area as summer rains do, dropping the temperature by 15 degrees. We now have a sky with high fleecy clouds and little or no wind. It's sultry, muggy, but Florida Gators like that and Oregon Beavers don't. Looks like a nice night for baseball. More later. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
