If he can't earn a starting spot at UF, or at least become a significant contributor, he can forget about the pros.
Under those circumstances, it better for him to transfer to a place he can play, since it will be his last playing days, his last hurrah. Often times, they are just 1 or 2 injuries or 1 or 2 years from being able to contribute or even start at their respective position.
