No, we won't completely shut them down, but I bet we slow them down enough to stay in the game with them.
Something else we should consider, they are very tight! They really are sweating this game Saturday just like they were sweating Arkansas. Just who has Ark beaten? Georgia? Forget it! Now, just who has Bammy beaten? Penn State? Temple almost beat them Saturday! I believe we'll be in the game and. if the ball doesn't bounce completely away from us we'll win! Arky definitely has a better downfield passing offense. I think that if we can hit a lot of our short possession type passes, that will have the same effect as a powerful running game - keep the chains moving and their offense off of the field. I don't think that we (or anyone else) can completely shut down the Bama ground game, but we may have the horses to keep them from being able to beat us with that alone. If we don't give them short fields or easy scores from turnovers, and if the Bama loving SEC officials let both teams play equally I think it could be a reaaly close, nerve-wracking contest. --- Keith Baldwin wrote: How does our defense compare to Arkansas?
