The gators weren't what bothered me about fishing in Newnan's Lake in our little boat. It was the snakes hanging from the darn trees! Any time my husband let us drift close to the trees, I screamed and scared all the fish to the other side of the lake!

Newnan's, Orange and Lochloosa lakes were favorite spots to relax while tossing out a 'rebel' and watch it wiggle its way back to the boat or shady spot on shore. I would frequently be accompanied by a good book or coed. I still bothers me a lot to remember how often a bass would interrupt that serene scene and force me to clean a fish. A.
