I don't think you can characterize it as a 'problem'. In all games so far this year, Rainey has fumbled twice (UAB and LSU) and lost none. Demps has fumbled twice (FAU and UT) and lost one. Gillislee has fumbled once (UK) and lost that one. If you're not going to play him for that one fumble, then you need to pull Demps and Rainey too.
What amazes me is the inability of the coaches to adapt their thinking on game day. That's what Weis is supposed to be so good at. If Demps and Rainey are tearing them up, then great. Just keep doing it. But against LSU, Demps was not a factor and Rainey rushed over and over with very little success. Then they brought in Gillislee and he ran for >3 yards on 7 of 9 carries, with a long of 15 yards and an avg of 6.2. We were actually moving the ball while he was playing. So why, when it's working, would you pull him back out and never give him a carry the rest of the day? Now they act like... wow, we have to give this kid more carries. Well, yeah, but it didn't take anyone watching the game three days to figure that out. I'm not saying to pull Rainey, he averaged 4 yards per carry. I'm saying they should have used both. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you give Gillislee a real chance, he'll be a star.
