I think this is a preemptive strike to facilitate SEC participation in the 4 
game championship. 
There's no other reason for the SEC to involve itself with the Big Texas 
conference. A&M wouldn't have left if they had any future there. 
I'll be so surprised(tongue-in-cheek) if they pick up the Sugar Bowl for the 
location.
