Those were my go-to spots in Gainesville for independent fine dining.

I am sure that new restaurants have arisen to take their place, but can't seem to find them.

Chains along 34th and Archer - sure, there a zillion.

But unique high quality restaurants? I am at a loss.

I did enjoy the Paramount Grill downtown.

Does anyone have suggestions for upscale dining?

I still like Emiliano's, but am hoping for a step up.

Outside of downtown would be a plus, parking is pretty tough on the weekends.

Surely there must be something to the North and Northeast of campus...
