When I moved to Florida in 69 my best friend was a Kathleen grad, I
started following them a little later probably around David Bowdens soph
season. Bowden who later of course went on to QB at UF and wide
receiver Joe Goldsmith who went to fsu were one hellava pitch and catch
combo. Kathleen had some great teams during those years and almost won a
state title until they ran into Tampa Jesuit with a great RB named
Leonard George. I think the Kathleen coach was named Tom Caudill maybe.
Big crowds overflowed Kathleen's stadium during those years.

I think we have discussed this before. Santa Fe High School class of
'76. I am sure we probably visited some of the same haunts. SFHS
actually played KHS my sophomore season (1973). We got killed, as a
lb I actually started my sophomore year and spent the whole night
chasing KHS's best offensive player (Hardee? maybe) around the field.
