I'm pretty sure last year, he never actually came out and said that Grier was his starter. He just said over and over that they're both competing for the job, and the press finally figured it out when they saw who was actually starting and playing most of the games. It will be interesting to see whether he actually names a starter before the first game this year, or if we will just see who actually walks onto the field again. I have to hand it to Mac. He has such a friendly demeanor that the press seems quite content for him to say pretty much nothing over and over. They're probably just happy to have a coach to interview who seems to actually enjoy it. McElwain said the two used bad judgment and will pay a price for it. “A lot of people go through life making choices. We all do. Everybody in this room does.
