The GayBombay Bar Nite at Velocity GB has just added another new place to its long list of party venues, and this time it's one of the very best, most popular, most happening discotheques in town. Velocity is HUGE and has the biggest dance floor in Mumbai. For those who'd rather chill, theres also ample lounging space. Date: Thursday, 14 April 2005. Time: 9:00 pm - 1:30 am. Tele no. - 23510302 - How to get there: Velocity is located between Crossroads, Haji Ali and Tardeo AC Market. The nearest railway station is Bombay Central. If you're driving from the Mahalakshmi Temple or Peddar Road area make a right turn at the Haji Ali signal. If you're driving from the suburbs, Worli or Mahalakshmi Station area make a left turn at the Haji Ali signal. Drive straight and past the Heera Panna shopping centre on your right; Velocity is just after Crossroads/McDonalds on the same side of the street. If you're driving from the Bombay Central, Ganga/Jamuna or Sardar Pao Bhaji area Velocity is on your left after Tardeo AC Market. Valet parking is available at the venue. - What time do you expect the party to go on till? The party will start at 9.00 PM and will go on till 1.30 AM. only. So, if you want to party more please do come early. - How much do I pay? The cover charge will be Rs. 350/- per head. - What do I expect for the amount I am paying? You can expect: a]The venue to party, b]Good music [with sound system and lights], c]2 large drinks, or 4 small Drinks with mixers, or 4 Beer Pints, or 4 Aerated Waters/Mineral Water. d]The repeat drinks will come at Rs 100/- for 1 small drink with mixer or one small beer pint or one mocktail or one juice or one bacardi breezer. Rs 50/- will get you either a aerated water or mineral water. e] This does not include dinner. - Some don'ts: GB, as a support group, has created this comfort/safe space for gays. Many people at the party may be "newbies" (those still coming to terms with their sexuality and/or those who have mustered the courage to come to such a party for the first time). We request you to be sensitive to the comfort levels of others and to behave and dress accordingly. No dark rooms and no sex on the premises; if found indulging in any "hanky panky" you shall be asked to leave the party. - A special REQUEST: During and after the party please DO NOT gather outside the venue. The management has requested us to ensure that, in the middle of the night, the peace of the neighbourhood is not disturbed. - A few dos: Have a smashing time. Carry your Alcoholic Drinks Permit.
