Satpuda Foundation The Satpuda Foundation is engaged in defending the wilderness of the Central Indian Highlands and specifically aims to spread and strengthen the wildlife movement in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh. Its work is concentrated in these three states. Post: Conservation Officer Job Description: The project involves work of community conservation in villages around Pench Tiger Reserve Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The person would be placed at Nagpur and will have to spend 15 to 20 days of the month in the field, compile data in villages, implement sustainable development programmes to reduce biotic pressure of villages on these two Tiger Reserves and write reports. Eligibilty: Satpuda Foundation is looking for a person who is young, dynamic and have a basic knowledge of wildlife conservation, Management and knows about socio-economic conditions of tribal villages.A person with Bachelors degree in Social sc/Social work/ Biology will be prefered but other graduates with extra potential, courage, dedication and knowledge also will be considered. Salary: Negotiable.Up to Rs.8000/ month. His acomodation in the forests Guest house (during field work) and travel will be incured by Satpuda Foundation. Duration: The appointment will be initially for one year and the duration may be extended further, looking at the performance.
