SANGAMA is a Bangalore based organisation working with sexuality minorities (hijras, kothis, doubledeckers, homosexual/bisexual/gay men, lesbian/bisexual women, transgenders etc..) from poor socio-economic backgrounds. Our work includes advocacy/campaigning, library/documentation/publications, drop-in centre, life skills development, promotion of economic alternatives, HIV/AIDS/health awareness, community outreach, legal aid/crisis intervention, community mobilisation and collectivisation... We have the following vacancies in our organisation: Position: Coordinator (Advocacy Division) Eligibility: 1. Fluency in English and Kannada/Tamil/Malayalam/Telugu 2. Communication skills in Hindi preferred 3. 2 years experience in human rights advocacy/campaigning 4. Willing to travel extensively across India 5. Computer skills including word processing, email and Internet Position: Coordinator (Outreach Division) Eligibility: 1. Fluency in Kannada and English 2. Communication skills in Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam/Hindi preferred 3. 2 years field experience in working with socio-economically backward communities on health/social justice issues 4. Computer skills (word processing) Position: Coordinator (Lesbian/Bisexual Women's Project) Eligibility: 1. Fluency in English and Kannada/Malayalam 2. Communication skills in Tamil/Telugu/Hindi preferred 3. Should be a woman, lesbian/bisexual women preferred 4. Experience in working with gender/sexuality/human rights issues preferred 5. Computer skills (word processing, email and internet) an added advantage Position: Office Secretary Eligibility: 1. Fluency in English and Kannada 2. Computer skills including word processing, email and Internet 3.
