If anyone would like to talk to Sridevi or appear on her show/recommend people willing to do that, please contact her directly. Please feel free to forward this mail. And sorry but there's no budget to bring down people from out of town to Mumbai for the shoot--those willing to bear their own travelling/stay costs are welcome to do so.

Subject: Help needed

Dear Nitin,
I would really appreciate your help on this.

BRIEF OF THE SHOW: It is a one hour chat show that will focus on the everyday experiences and issues faced by urban Indians on a day-to-day basis. The focus of this episode will be homosexuality. Personal accounts and experiences will only add to the relevance of the show. The channel it is going to be aired on is Times of India's news channel that will soon come on air.

There are some issues that we have encountered in our research uptil now. If anyone has any suggestions they are welcome to call or email me. I am looking for:

1) A gay couple who have been in a relationship for sometime now, to help show the positive aspects and the affection between same-sex partners.

2) A homosexual individual who is presently undergoing or has undergone parental pressure to get married, despite coming out to them.

3) Parents/siblings/close friends of homosexuals (hopefully along with the person) who can talk about their experiences about coming to terms with their son/daughter/brother/sister/friend's homosexuality.

4) People who had turned to substance abuse/alcohol in the past to help them deal with their own sexuality. Success stories or even those who are still strugglling and willing to talk.

5) A person who was blackmailed with regard to revealing his/her sexuality. (Their identity can be concealed. They need not come on the show if they are not comfortable. They can be interviewed separately.)

6) A gay person who has faced internalised homophobia. Example- discrimination from homosexuals who do not like effeminate homosexual men.

It would really really help me make a great show if people come forward and share their personal experiences.

Thanks a ton.
