Hi All,

The difference between the bar night and party night? I feel there certainly is a difference.

The organisers used to organise "Bar night" at Red Light at Kala Ghoda. The idea, I think, was basically getting together and cozying up with a drink or two. Also getting to know new persons. Though dancing was not the main part of these gatherings, we always ended up dancing. The idea probably did not work out well because the place and the drinks were expensive and the idea of sitting and sipping was not acceptable to some of the warm blooded members.

Party night, I think, does not need any definitaion. We all see how popular it has become. The venues are great.. Velocity, Karma, Zouk... Here the warm blooded members get into action and the not-so-warm blooded members get transformed into the warm blooded ones. So naturally the Party nights are more "happening". Dancing is the main theme, but I have seen that some come, surprisingly, to watch the television.

I guess the Zouk event should be called Party night and because it's not a Bar night.

Cheers (Hic!!)

Shailesh
