Its poppycock and balderdash that there is no protection against such incidences. The fact of homosex does not preclude the police from acting on complaints of armed robbery and blackmail. The real fact is that people like your Junaid are so entrenched in the closet that they can only have sex in the relative anonimity of another town [Bombay in this case], and would rather pay through their noses than have to stand up for their rights, lest they be identified. So ultimately, the incidence is actually another sob story. lets call it the 'gift of the dark closet'. When Junaid steps out the nightmare will disappear. Till then wailing on this list is going to get you some sympathy maybe, its not going to sove your problem. In Bombay we have seen in the past when the bluff of blackmail has been called and complaints filed, the police DID take action. So next time Junaid wants to fuck with someone he does not know and brings into his hotel room, remind him in advance that the police is a possibility in blackmail.
