*Film Outline*
A searingly honest film about five lives marked by pain and bound by hope –
in 68 Pages of a counselor's diary.
A female sex worker, a transsexual bar dancer, a gay couple, a young IDU -
characters often ignored by Indian cinema take center stage to tell their
stories of pain and trauma, of happiness and hope, of stories never dealt
with sensitively. 68 Pages rips open the underbelly of its society to
reveal how it stigmatizes and shuns those who are 'different' and doubly so
when they are diagnosed HIV+.

While these stories expose the shallowness of the system, it also offers
hope and healing by trying to bring about a better understanding of their
fight to live with dignity. The film is a tribute to the human spirit of
optimism and survival.

*Director's profile
*Sridhar Rangayan's work is as much about entertainment as conveying
something beyond the visuals. His cult film debut The Pink Mirror (Gulabi
Aaina), about Indian transsexuals was banned in India, but became a huge
festival success, winning Jury award for Best Film in Fire Island and in
France; His next film Yours Emotionally!, released by Water bearer Films,
pushed the boundaries even further by being one of the few films to ' give a
clear and concise picture of gay Indian life with great emotion and honesty'
(Amos Lassen on Amazon) .

*Executive Producer*
Vivek Anand with a background in management studies works with the Humsafar
Trust as its Chief Executive managing 10 projects on prevention, care,
support, treatment, advocacy, capacity building and research. He comes from
a media background having produced over 30 Telefilms, digital films and
documentary films. 68 Pages is based on real life experiences of a counselor
working with The Humsafar Trust and is the gist of their work with
marginalized communities and people living with HIV. He has also co scripted
the film with Director Sridhar Rangayan along with a research team drawn
from community based organisations who contributed to the making of this
hard hitting film.

*The Humsafar Trust
*The Humsafar Trust works with sexual minorities providing counseling, HIV
testing and treatment facilities. Its Center for Excellence (CEFE)
emphasizes on research, capacity building of communities and media advocacy.
The Advocacy unit of Humsafar works on creating awareness and sensitization
on issues of sexuality and HIV/AIDS through street plays, IEC materials and
