On international human rights day several human rights organizations organized with other NGOs and a core group of states an event in the UN Building about sexual orientation and human rights violations. In a powerful statement that The Vatican delivered at this event, it mentioned amongst other things the Holy See opposes discriminatory penal legislation against homosexual persons and calls upon all States and individuals to respect the rights of all persons.That satement is pasted below:
