Male Student Denies Luring
Men on Internet

15 January 2010
DUBAI — A student tried to lure a police sergeant to sodomise the former for
money while having a chat on the Internet, a court heard on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old Emirati student pleaded not guilty to indulging in prostitution
and luring men on the Internet when he appeared in the Court of First Instance.
He allegedly offered himself to the sergeant during an Internet chat session
without knowing the latter’s identity. The Emirati sergeant, 23, told the
prosecution officers that while monitoring the Internet for security reasons,
he had a chat with the defendant.
“He was using a coddling Kuwaiti pet name. He asked me to sodomise him,” the
sergeant claimed. He said he and the defendant agreed to meet.
The defendant admitted during the investigation to having indulged in sodomy.
He told an Emirati police lieutenant that he used to lure men to have sex with
him.
According to the lieutenant’s statement, the last time the defendant was
sodomised was three months before his arrest on September 29 last year.
The forensic examination report showed that the student had frequent homosexual
encounters.
The defendant’s computer hard disk, which was seized by the police, showed that
he had many Internet chat sessions in which he lured men to have sex with him
for money.
