Hi (again) folks,

I have given up with GBAuth, since there seems to be no further information available
att his time and I cannot make the configuration work with it's use - following the
VPN Client documentation to the letter.

What I do have as it stands is the ability to use the VPN Client to:

- Connect to an ISP and tunnel through
- Get access to the Intranet
- Get access to Mail Servers
- Get access to user shares containing application synch's needed on some standalone
systems (I defined a couple of systems in the hosts file and mapped them - ok)

So far so good. But I also want to connect to some shares on a PDC - untried until now.
Given the success above, I thought that as long as I presented the IP Address or
hostname of the PDC (defined in hosts file), the connection should be possible. Not
so.

With the VPN Active, the following is true:

- VPN Client can Ping the PDC
- PDC can ping the VPN Client

However the VPN Client can NOT map a drive to the server - it gets a "Windows cannot
find the path specified.....blah.....blah"
This when either the direct TCP/IP or the PDC name is used. I have tried defining the
domain in the LMHOSTS file (and I know this works as we have a true static VPN between
ourselves and another remote office) which works fine. I have tried an account in the
domain, and an account on the Laptop only.

I must be missing something here - anyone done this successfully and have any details
of teaks at the client or Gnatbox ends that had to be implemented? Thanks for any help.
