Just download the configuration from the web interface. If the CF dies
you need only reload a cf with the reload floppies then re-upload the
configuration. You could also do the backup direct to floppy from the
console.

If you insist on making an image, pop the CF card in a CF reader and use
a product like WinImage to make an image file of it which you can
restore to another card. Honestly though, in 3 years of supporting
handheld computers that use CF for internal storage I've seen maybe 2 go
bad. Definitely not as bad as those terrible DOMs they were forcing on
us for a while.

Subject: [gb-users] Help with backup of GB-FLASH

I have upgraded to GB-FLASH and was wanting to know if there is any way
to
backup the flash software that is on the flash card to floppy
diskette(s). I
have a 32MB Compact flash that I have purchased and want to flash it
with
the GB image so I can store it in my safe in case I the original flash
gets
damaged.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You,
Randy Haley
