Has anyone tried to use the Mobile VPN client as a service on a workstation or server? We have a situation where we maintain one server within a client site. That server runs a SQL database that needs to replicate back to a central location through our GB-Flash unit. I can't force the remote agency to change to a robox or other GB product so would like to have that server maintain a Security policy with the mobile client.
We've attempted similar, but it requires that a desktop be open under the replication account with an active security policy. But tasks that run under different usernames typically have unusual results accessing the VPN. Not to mention that I'm not wild about leaving a desktop open all the time when it isn't being utilized. Any suggestions?
