surely you need to specify your router as the default route, not the external
interface.. maybe i misunderstand?

Found I had to manually specify the EXTERNAL Interface as the Default
Route.  That said although I am able to Ping/Traceroute Addresses on both
External and Protected Interfaces, I am unable to make connections from
the Protected Network out onto the Internet???

Version 3.3.4 (and previous versions) have worked for me...
