Orlando, FL - May 7, 2004 - GTA released GNAT Box System Software version 3.5 patch level 2 (ver. 3.5.2) and version 3.4 patch level 4 (ver. 3.4.4) on May 7, 2004. These OS patch releases contain minor functionality enhancements and address several issues identified since the release of version 3.5.1 and version 3.4.3.
The primary issues addressed in version 3.5.2 include updating TCP to address a potential vulnerability that allows remote termination of network sessions. Please refer to the release notes below for full details. GNAT Box System Software version 3.5 patch level 2 will be available for download through the GTA on-line support center on May 7, 2004 and will begin shipping preinstalled on new products by May 12, 2004, 2004. Customers whose firewalls are currently registered through GTA's on-line support center, and who have version 3.5.x or a current support contract, may download the latest update at no charge. Other customers should contact GTA sales or their authorized GTA channel partner for version 3.5.2 upgrade purchase options. Some browsers, including Netscape and Mozilla, will not recognize the new certificate if the original has never been replaced.
