Orlando, FL - December 8, 2004 - Global Technology Associates, Inc., a
worldwide leader in cost effective network security solutions, today
announced four new firewall appliances in a major expansion of the product
line. The firewalls support GTA's new Mail Sentinel Anti-Spam and Mail
Sentinel Anti-Virus email filtering incorporated into GNAT Box OS version
3.6. Targeting the needs of the SME market for multi-faceted perimeter
security, GTA announced the introduction of two new SME Enterprise class
firewall appliances - GB-2000 and GB-2000e - along with two new appliances
for the SME Remote Offices/Branch Offices - GB-250, and GB-250e.
Acknowledged worldwide for their over 10 years of firewall experience,
GTA's new firewall appliance models are powered by GTA's ICSA 4.0
Corporate certified GNAT Box OS version 3.6, well known for offering power
and simplicity at an affordable price.

"Our customers are faced with major security risks through the entry of
spam and virus through their email," said Paul Emerson, President of GTA.
"Our new firewalls featuring Mail Sentinel were developed in response to
our customer's request for increased gateway security through email
filtering for spam and viruses." GTA has partnered with market leaders to
license technologies which are embedded into the GNAT Box OS version 3.6.
Mail Sentinel Anti-Spam is powered by Mailshell's anti-spam engine, while
Mail Sentinel Anti-Virus was developed in partnership with Kaspersky Labs.
These two subscription based options allow users to have the most current
virus definitions and spam detection rules automatically uploaded to their
firewall. Mail Sentinel Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus will be available on
GTA's new firewall appliances - the GB-2000 and GB-250 firewall families,
and GB-Ware software firewall. Mail Sentinel Anti-Spam will also be
available on GTA's existing firewall appliances which include the GB-1500,
GB-1200, GB-750, GB-500, and GB-200.

Ranging in size from the GB-250 10 user model in a desktop form factor
with three 10/100 Ethernet interfaces, to the GB-2000 unlimited user model
in a 1RU case with four 10/100 Ethernet interfaces, GTA's firewall
appliances will match most SME business needs. Both the GB-2000e and
GB-250e include hardware VPN acceleration.

"GTA's partnerships with Mailshell and Kaspersky Labs provide us with
unparalleled anti-spam and anti-virus email filtering on our firewall
appliances," said Nita Seng, VP of Sales and Marketing. "It was important
to us that our anti-spam and anti-virus solutions meet our customers' high
levels of expectation for performance, and yet be priced to meet their
budgets."

GTA will begin shipping the new firewall appliances in early December.
GNAT Box OS version 3.6 will be available for download on existing
products by mid-December. It will be available at no charge to customers
with a GTA support contract or annual maintenance agreement, or who
purchased a GTA firewall on or after 1 October 2004. Other users should
contact their local GTA channel partner or email [EMAIL PROTECTED] for
information and pricing of upgrade options.
