This would be an exceptional capability because it makes it easier to
take the system and move it to a new box if things start to die. This
would greatly reduce down time!

There should be little or no security issues; since "in theory", the
system is secured behind a locked door with no windows (unless the IT
group at the firewall owners location is just stupid and deserving of
the Darwinian award). And, it still has login passwords that should be
encrypted - Again unless stupidity is the rule of the day...

Thanks,

Danny

from the GTA Support Center

Simple answer.... NO

I tried the install and got the same lockup at slice load... I erased
the disk and tried again. This time it loaded the kernel but failed at
the point of mounting the root volume. For grins I called support and
was told it doesn't support USB booting. I've been told by others they
got it to work in older versions. My guess is some BIOS may emulate ATA
a little better and GB-Ware can't tell the difference. In my test
system (our in-house firewall) it would not work. Hopefully they can
help us out with this as I would prefer to start selling MiniATX systems
with CF slots on the front for simplicity. Heck... Maybe even SD. :)
