You should be able to run it on a 32MB as long as you aren't using the mail content/av features. I haven't tried that to test the theory, but I'm pretty sure it only went up to 512MB to add that capability.

What is the average space necessary for the CG-WARE unrestricted? In

I built my most recent Gnatbox with one of these IDE Flash Disk
(http://tinyurl.com/mn4f2) to eliminate the outrageous boot times after
a hard crash.

Simple answer.... NO

I tried the install and got the same lockup at slice load... I erased

the disk and tried again. This time it loaded the kernel but failed
at the point of mounting the root volume. For grins I called support
and was told it doesn't support USB booting. I've been told by others

they got it to work in older versions. My guess is some BIOS may
emulate ATA a little better and GB-Ware can't tell the difference. In

my test system (our in-house firewall) it would not work. Hopefully
they can help us out with this as I would prefer to start selling
MiniATX systems with CF slots on the front for simplicity. Heck...
Maybe even SD. :)

GnatBox supports CF with an IDE (Not USB) controller. Specifically, hw
furnished by GB. You might investigate that support as the basis of the
system you want to configure.

My current client is building an appliance based product. We tried hard
to use USB-flash drive in lieu of a CD for development installs (and
perhaps eventually for manufacturing. Even though we can boot from USB
CDs, we weren't able to get a USB flash drive to boot. Hard to spend
much debugging time debugging boot problems with inadequate tools when
all we were saving was the time to periodically burn an install CD. I
digress here just to point out that USB flash boot is problematic for
more than GB.
