More specifically its a FreeBSD 4.x kernel issue. :) I'm guessing they
haven't moved to 5.x or 6.x kernel yet. :)

i.e., just a processor bug.
Which sounds horrible, but most processors these days have
some bugs which won't be fixed in HW, and software just has
to deal with it.
