One of the key enhancements includes support for a modified runtime format which will be required for customers who chose to upgrade to future versions of GB-OS, including GB-OS 5.0 scheduled for release early 2007. IMPORTANT NOTE: Customers who wish to upgrade to GB-OS 5.0 when it is released next year will need to have a valid support contract (or purchase an upgrade) and be running GB-OS 4.0.3 or GB-OS 3.7.3 prior to updating to GB-OS 5.0. Other customers should contact GTA sales or their authorized GTA channel partner for purchase options for the GB-OS 4.0.3 upgrade.
