The second patch, hack sse simode inputs, is a small win or at least a draw, inlined or not, -fno-gcse or not. The first one, mark builtins constant, is a lose in every conditions; it's the one that triggers those stack references/movements noted earlier (and my guess is what's causing the perf regression, other than that the code seems prettier). -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=19680
