For now though I only expect distributions packaging java-gcj-compat to use this option. For example, in Fedora Core, java-gcj-compat is a default package, so we expect it to be there and we add an rt.jar symlink from $JAVA_HOME/lib/rt.jar to libgcj-4.0.0.jar. People installing libgcj manually shouldn't use this option and won't be affected by it.
