IMHO closing these bugs as WONTFIX is not the right thing to do. This is clearly a missed optimization opportunity. The fact that it worked by chance before your (overall good) patch does not make fixing this issue less desirable. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=23302
