How many different ways do I have to say that GCC did not invent the asm? It exists and has existed in *many* C compilers, many of which pre-date GCC. THERE IS A TRADITIONAL INTERPRETATION of "asm ( character-string-literal ) ;". -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=24414
