I tested it on the test case in that bug and on my bootstrap bug that I reported here and both look good. I used ToT sources for both tests and had to put your change in predicates.md instead of ia64.c but it looks good to me. I can do a full bootstrap if you want me to, I think we should try and get this into 4.1 as well as ToT if possible.
