        gcc/
        * tree-outof-ssa.c (check_replaceable): Deem assignments
        with register variables on their RHS to not be replaceable.

        gcc/testsuite/
        * gcc.target/arm/register-variables.c: New test.
        * gcc.dg/pr16194.c: Remove dg-error directive.
