The other requires a lot of work in the compiler, and this does not. So, viewing them as the same can be done, in the same way that all x87/gcc bugs are the same, or all precision bugs are the same, but since neither their genesis or solution are the same, it is misleading to do so. Saying you don't care to fix it is an honest answer, closing it because it is a duplicate of a much larger and harder problem for which known workarounds exist is not.
