------- Comment #4 from debian-gcc at lists dot debian dot org 2007-06-26 12:28 ------- ok, this is dependent on the build environment; I'm still unsure why I don't see this on the gcc-4_1-branch. both 4.1 and 4.2 are configured with --enable-clocale=gnu. On the gcc-4_1-branch, the "sanity" test in libstdc++ configure depending on the "de_DE" locale succeeds, while on the gcc-4_2-branch it fails, if the "de_DE" locale is not present, falling back to the "generic" locale, even if the locale model is explicitely set.
