I have just put this on to bootstrap and regtest whilst I sleep. Since it changes nothing in the basic mechanism I believe that it will be OK. In fact, I already tested gfortran.dg/use*.f90 Paul -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=34975
