My OS is Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.1 (Tikanga). Kernel version is 2.6.18-53.el5. gcc version is 4.1.2. I try to limit memory size to 192MB and then make linux kerenl with "make -j 8". But every time it always reflects "gcc: Internal error: Segmentation fault (program as)" and then stops. But if I increase memory to 512MB, it is OK. Is this the gcc bug?
