thanks for looking into it, but I wanted to point out that it does not work on
4.1.2, at least not my build:
g++ (GCC) 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-21)
that is where I am testing it and getting the ICE.
but anyway it seems like it's probably fixed in more recent versions.
