I guess that the problem is actually still present in upstream gcc, as Debian applies backports of libobjc and gfortran support. I am currently rebuilding gcc 4.3 on arm oldABI with the same patches to see if it fixes the problem. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35964
