When I opened the PR I had set the target to x86_64-apple-darwin9.

It does not happen under ix86-apple-darwin9.

My config for gcc looks like this:

[deuterium:gcc/head/objdir-x86_64] andreast% ./gcc/xgcc -v

Configured with: /Volumes/development/gcc/head/gcc/configure
