Hello I downloaded the gcc-4-4-1, and to my dismay it didn't build. I am on
0x86, slackware 4.10, gcc 3.3.x. I ran in to errors caused by incorrect
filenames. There were some places on the web mentioning this phenomena
dating 2002 and others. I want to know, is this a newbie thing on gcc? I
checked the MD5 signatures, and they are correct. I've had to recompile
several times and altered my configuration and now I ran into another
problem, I don't know what caused it as my gcc configuration seems to be
messed up. Why nobody does something about this problem? the files usually
are missing a letter on the end, so *.h becomes *. etc
